Los Angeles County Pools

Late in the day on May 26, 2020, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the County Health Officer issued a document titled “Protocols for Reopening of Swimming Pools in Shared Residential Facilities” which sets out the requirements that an association within the County must follow if it wants to reopen the community pool. It is important to note that the order only applies to Los Angeles County. As of the time this article was posted, no other neighboring counties (except Riverside) have issued orders expressly allowing community pools to reopen. It’s also important to note that many community associations will find it impossible to comply with the requirements of these protocols.
