David Taran is an attorney with the law firm of Roseman Law, APC, in its Los Angeles office.
Mr. Taran specializes in the practice of real estate and business law. Mr. Taran focuses on all aspects of real estate and business litigation and transactions, including, without limitation, sale and acquisition, development, construction defect, disclosure issues, fraud, contract drafting and disputes, entity formation, property owners associations, and corporate counseling. Mr. Taran has successfully represented numerous clients and has been on trial teams that have secured multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts. Mr. Taran has successfully represented clients in California State Court proceedings, Federal Court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations in complex commercial matters and multi-jurisdictional settings.
Mr. Taran has a strong background in real estate and finance. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Taran worked in the mortgage industry for several wholesale mortgage brokers, and direct lenders. He has experience with all aspects of real estate transactions, and review of loan documents. He is familiar with escrow procedures, closings, and title issues. Mr. Taran is a licensed real estate broker.
Mr. Taran previously served as a judicial clerk in the Superior Court of California, in the county of Sacramento, where he gained valuable trial experience. Mr. Taran also worked for the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), where he gained experience in discrimination matter, as they affect employers and housing providers, including homeowners associations. While at the DFEH, Mr. Taran participated in administrative trials, mediations, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Taran has been selected to the 2016 and 2017 Southern California Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers. Only 2.5% of attorneys in California receive this distinction. In 2012, Mr. Taran also received a Public Service Honors award in recognition of his work in the public sector.
Mr. Taran earned his juris doctorate from the University of California, Davis, School of Law, and his bachelor of science in business law at the California State University, Northridge, where he was on the Dean’s list in recognition of his academic achievements.
